BIO
I received my Ph.D. in Statistics in August 2007 form the University of Washington (Seattle) with a Dissertation on the Bayesian analysis of Functional Data. In Seattle I worked mainly with my mentor Lurdes Inoue (UW, Biostatistics) and with Ruth Etzioni (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center).
In September 2007 I accepted a post-doctoral position in the department of Biostatistics at the University of Texas, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. My main collaborators here in Houston are Peter Mueller, Gary Rosner and Don Berry.
I still maintain collaborations in Seattle with Lurdes Inoue (UW, Biostatistics) and with Elena Erosheva and Ross Matzueda ( UW, Center for Statistics and the Social Sciences).
My research is mainly focused on dependent data and nonparametrics. Other areas of interest are Decision Theory, MCMC computation and Bioinformatics.
